Designing and developing a Governance Compliance and Risk product that is highly scalable with extensive MicroServices. In current state it will function across all of Amazon and future plans it will become a Tier 1 service available to external customers within the AWS product offerings. We are also building Machine Learning into products for risk analytics, prediction modeling, and this will be available in a multi-region format across the earth.

Current Projects:

Design, develop and operate risk management and analytics software for Amazon internal use. This product will be used by risk managers, compliance and security teams across Amazon. The software will use AI/ML to classify risks and map them to mitigating controls. The engineer will be a part of a team that builds governance, risk and compliance software for Amazon.

Working within a worldwide Tax Compliance and Audits products that have heavy data ingestion of up to 500+ Billion rows of data per day. Analyze, evaluate, bring new ideas with design, and implement your ideas. Automation of processes and scaling on a global scale are key elements with these projects. Current Projects:

Our group focuses on payments for all of Amazon. We are designing and developing systems for real time payments, global payments, corporate cards, machine learning, and a new communication product for notifications of payments. Being in this space you will gain global domain payments knowledge. Our scale is massive and bigger than most companies that work in the payments industry.

We are converging 5 different products into a single new worldwide Amazon product that accountants use. Machine learning will be integrated into products that will further automation and scaling. This role will also span across other FinTech teams/projects to learn and contribute engineering knowledge.

Current Projects:

Tracking Assets and Fixed Assets are massive projects aimed to design/build a product that will eventually depreciate our 3P application (Oracle Fixed Assets). These products track 1 Billion objects that will evaluate the quality of the data intake, track the object, and report this data. These objects will incorporate data lineage to track from end to end and transferring of assets with global components (inner-company, countries, currency).

Our team is dedicated to applying Machine Learning to Financial applications and we work with trillions of transactions from across Amazon. We work across Finance, from receivables, treasury through to payables so the problems you work on will range from detecting anomalies through to forecasting bank balances for the entire company.
We have 3 ML applications today and they have saved Amazon tens to hundreds of millions of dollars.

The Roster team’s top goal for 2021 is to onboard all of AWS fixed, Sales, and Infrastructure orgs to Roster. This will result in Roster becoming the source of truth for nearly 100% of the 88k headcount in AWS. To support this goal, we will be creating/enhancing key capabilities in the Roster product including: spreadsheet style editing of headcount details within the product, API driven integration with Amazon recruiting systems, multi-level approvals for actions that update headcount plans, pivotable views of detail headcount data to allow our users to manage headcount at the grain they desire (e.g. by location, job level, team, etc.)

Our systems model customer behavior by using only external inputs with no instrumentation in the device or within an application. We’re solving the product scaling problem by re-designing the device experience measurement capability into four brand-new products including Latency, Streaming Quality, Content Relevancy and Ads detection. We envision this will introduce a new AWS Device Farm equivalent service, which can offer the metrics as a service.

We are a growing team and have plans to grow from a team size of 11 to 30+ in 2021. Almost all of this growth is going to be in Software development side and need a senior engineer to guide and mentor other engineers on the team and influence the technological direction for GREF Tech. We are starting a number pf green field projects including building new products from ground up and the senior engineer is expected to heavily influence the design and architecture of these systems and services.
